On the left, click the edit icons to change the class name or add a description and keywords. These can be helpful when need to locate a specific course quickly in your My Planner class list. The description is also a nice place to credit multiple contributors.
On the right in the CMAP Layout Settings, you can view and edit the number of sessions and the number of grading periods. Be extremely careful if you plan to reduce the number of sessions on a completed map, because all items that extend past the new final session will be deleted. Before reducing the number of sessions, be sure to shorten the length of any timeline item that starts before your new final session and move any items that you want to keep to a session before the new ending session. If you delete any items by mistake, use the History tool in the lower left corner of the map to undo the change.
When changing the number of grading periods, the CMAP will evenly distribute all the class periods among the new grading periods.
In the CMAP Statistics section, the number of Course Related Standards Used indicates the number of standards you have added to your map compared to the number of standards in the official course description. Once you have mapped all sessions for the year, the two numbers should match. The number of Course Related Resources Used only indicates the number of CPALMS reviewed resources you have used in your map compared to the total number available. This number does not reflect any custom resources you’ve added to the map.
If you’re using a shared or cloned map, the Original Map section will show you information about the original map and may provide an option to open and clone the original map.
Click the View Map button to hide the CPALMS Settings dialog.
