CMAP allows you to add custom rows to the timeline for Standards, Benchmarks, and Resources. The manual option is best when you want to control the addition of timeline items. Use manual custom rows to add custom notes, files, and resources, OR use them to narrow smart recommendations from the CPALMS standards database and resource collections.
Click the plus sign in any row header at the far left of the screen to open the Add a Row dialog for Standards, Benchmarks, or Resources.
The options in Row dialogs are always similar:
- Add a Title
- Choose the row background color
- For row type: the manual option is selected by default
- The bottom section controls smart recommendations from the CPALMS collections that will appear in the Information Viewer.
- Standards row options limit CPALMS recommendations to course-related domains and/or clusters
- Benchmarks row options limit CPALMS recommendations to standard-related benchmarks and/or access points
- Resources row options limit CPALMS recommendations to standard-related resources in the selected categories
- If no options are selected, the Information Viewer will show the form for adding custom items
- Click Add or Update to save your changes or click Cancel to close the dialog without making changes.
The row header on the far left includes options for controlling each row.
- To edit the settings for a row, click the pencil icon.
- To delete a row, click the X icon.
- To collapse a row, click the Eye icon.
- To expand a collapsed row, click the Circle icon.
