CMAP Sharing – Export to .cmap Format
CMAP allows you to export your map in a format that can be imported and edited in the future.
This is a great way to share, backup, or reuse your CMAP.
Click the Share / Import & Export tab in your CMAP.
Click the Exporting to .CMAP option and the Continue button on the warning dialog.
In the Save As window, name your exported .cmap file, select a location, and click Save.
CMAP Sharing – Export to Word Format
CMAP allows you to export your entire map or selected portions in Word format.
This export format is ideal for sharing the content in your map with users who do not need to view or edit an actual CMAP. A common use of this option is exporting a portion of the CMAP to share with classroom evaluators.
Preview how the exported content will look by clicking the Document Viewer option in the upper right.
To export your entire map:
- Select ALL sessions on the map using the Session Focuser tool OR click outside of the timeline rows to ensure that no sessions are selected.
- Click the Share / Import & Export tab in your CMAP.
- Click the Exporting to MS Word option.
- In the Export dialog, select the rows you want to include in your exported map.
- In the Save As window, name your exported Word file, select a location, and click Save.
To export a portion of your map:
- Select one or more sessions using the Session Focuser tool or highlight the sessions to be exported on your map.
- Click the Share / Import & Export tab in your CMAP.
- Click the Exporting to MS Word option.
- In the Export dialog, select the rows that you want to include in your exported map.
- In the Save As window, name your exported Word file, select a location, and click Save.
Export options are also available when one or more sessions are highlighted in the popup menu or in the upper right corner of the Document Viewer.
