Learn how to share your CMAP with other CPALMS registered educators using the Sharing via URL option.
This sharing option differs from CMAP collaboration because it shares the version of your map at the time the URL is created. The shared map does not reflect changes to your CMAP after the URL is created.
Maps shared via URL can be viewed, copied for further editing, and re-shared with others.
Start by clicking the Share, Import and Export tab, at the top of your CMAP.
Click Sharing via URL.
The first time you share, you will need to agree to CPALMS terms and conditions by clicking Continue.
On the Sharing CMAP via URL page, the top section displays a CMAP Share URL that you can copy and send to other CPALMS registered users.
In the Sharing section, Sharing for this CMAP indicates if the share URL is active or inactive, and allows you to Deactivate or Activate it.
Re-Sharing allows new maps based on your original shared version to be re-shared. This option is inactive by default. This section indicates if re-sharing is active or inactive, and allows you to Deactivate or Activate it.
When you are finished, click Save.
To open a CMAP Share URL follow these steps.
Log in to CPALMS.
Paste the URL into your browser and hit enter to open the map.
By default, the shared CMAP is view only, and it will not appear in your My Planner class list.
If you want to create a copy and edit the shared CMAP, click CLONE at the top.
After the Clone Successful message appears, you can edit, delete, and add items on the map, except for items that were share locked by a previous editor.
The cloned map will also appear in your My Planner class list.
